Easy Ways To Improve Your Golf Swing

If you are like most golfers, then you would agree that there's nothing at all easy about improving your golf swing. At the most frustrating times on the course, it can seem like there is nothing that will help you improve your game. Believe it or not, there are some easy solutions to improve your golf swing. If you follow these, you will find that your swing looks better and your scores come down in no time.

Grip it and rip it

It may be one of the biggest golf clichés that there is, but this phrase should remind you that it all starts with the grip. If you are slicing the golf ball, then you probably have a grip that is too weak. If you want to improve your golf swing quickly, try moving your dominant hand closer to the top of the club. The flipside of that is the person who hooks the golf ball. Their grip might be a little too strong and they should move their strong hand to below the club.

Swing through the ball

What does this mean? It means that instead of coming over the golf ball, you should try to swing out and through the golf ball. This is one of the most difficult things for amateurs to learn when they first begin playing. If you want to lose the slice and improve your golf swing, you will master this swing path, though. When you come over the golf ball, you have little option but to slice the ball. By swinging out at the ball and coming through with the swing, you are putting the club head in position to strike the ball squarely. This will help you hit the ball farther and keep it in the fairway.

Not so hard

One of the quickest ways to improve your golf swing is to just slow down. You don't have to try to murder the golf ball. Take the time to watch professional golfer Ernie Els. Though he's a huge man, Els doesn't swing the club very hard. His nicknames, The Big Easy or Easy Ernie are well earned because of his tempo. If you want to quickly improve your golf swing, try to be more like Els. Slowing down and not trying to hit the golf ball so hard will help improve your tempo and it will lead to better golf shots.
